Yes, everything we make is vegan and cruelty free. Our candles are made with plant based natural coconut wax and scented with fragrances made with essential oils. Our bath & body collections are made with plant based ingredients including organic shea butter, avocado oil, coconut oil, and essential oils.

Yes, everything we make is gluten free. We do not use wheat, barley, or rye in any of our products.

Our products are handcrafted with natural plant-based ingredients. However, we do not recommend using scented products directly in areas your furry friends have access to. Essential oils are highly concentrated and can be overstimulating for pets. Candles should only be burned on solid surfaces that pets do not have access to and always be supervised while lit.

Trim the wick to ¼ inch each time before burning. Place the candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface. Keep the wax pool clear of wick trimmings, matches and debris at all times.

Never touch or move a burning candle. Always keep the candle within your sight. If you are going to leave the room, be sure to first blow out all candles. Do not burn the candle longer than 4 hours at a time.

Use a candle snuffer to extinguish a candle to prevent hot wax from splattering. Make sure the candle is completely extinguished before leaving the room. Do not touch the candle until it has completely cooled.

Make sure you burn your candle for 2-4 hours the first time around. You want to make sure your wax pool extends to both ends of the vessel before extinguishing. This will avoid tunneling.

The burn time of our candles varies depending on the vessel and the environment in which the candle is burning​. On average, every ounce of wax gives 7-9 hours of burn time. An 8 oz. candle burns up to 60 hours.

We use natural plant-based coconut wax in all of our candles. Coconut wax is an odorless wax made from cold-pressed coconuts and coconut oil and is known for it's clean burning and long lasting qualities as a premium candle wax.

Our aroma blends are natural fragrance oils made with plant-based ingredients and essential oils. Hemlock Park candles are vegan, non-toxic, and do not contain parabens, sulfates, phthalates, or synthetic dyes.

Crackling wood wicks are a great pairing with natural coconut wax. They create a gentle crackling sound as they burn and the flame flickers like a cozy fireplace or fampfire. Hemlock Park wood wicks are crafted with FSC certified sustainable wood from American fruit trees.

Our smudge sprays are meant to be sprayed into the air and on objects that are not sensitive to moisture like stones or the selenite crystal that is included with each spray. They are not meant to be sprayed directly onto the skin or body, however the ingredients are vegan, plant-based, and safe for everyday use on clothing that is not delicate (avoid spraying on silk, porous surfaces, furniture). 

Our entire collection is handcrafted by artisans and candlemakers in the Sierra Nevadas using sustainably sourced plant-based ingredients.

The exchange and return process requires proof of purchase (e.g. your order number or order confirmation email). If your purchase was made in a retail store, please make the return or exchange at the same location.

We offer FREE Ground Shipping on all domestic orders over $50.00 USD within the contiguous U.S. Once picked up and scanned in by our carrier, domestic orders shipped within the contiguous U.S. may take 1-6 business days to arrive, depending on location.

You will receive your shipping confirmation email as soon as a label is created for your order, and the tracking status of your shipment may take up to 24-48 hours once a label has been created.

Expedited or priority shipping is available for most destinations at checkout for an additional cost.
